Professional Teachers Association MaharashtraProfessional Teachers Association Maharashtra (PTAM.) Coaching is an industry that caters to the need of millions of students all over the country and helps them to realize their dreams. But, unfortunately, it hasn’t received proper patronage and recognition in society. With the view of providing unified leadership and a platform to thousands of tutors, PTAM came into existence in the year 2000. Starting from Pune, now the association has spread its roots in 26 districts in Maharashtra. The association was established with the purpose of unification of the coaching directors and tutors and present their problems before the government. It also aims at providing recognition to the coaching industry in society as well as in the education system. Since its inception, the association has provided a helping hand in every calamity that the state and society faced.
On the organizational grounds, the association opposed the torturous and
oppressive law proposed to control the coaching industry and fought successfully to repeal the proposal. The professional teachers association proudly boasts its 50000 members and more than 4 lakh people directly and indirectly associated with it. More than 20 lakh people are dependent on this profession for their bread and butter.
The recent lockdown due to covid-19 has had a great impact on the profession and it has broken the backbone of this industry. This has caused unprecedented loss to the people in this sector.
Professional Teachers Association has worked relentlessly to reach the tutors in their hour of need. We have joined hands with the national level, like-minded organization CFI to fight the present situation. PTAM has brought many financial schemes to provide financial assistance 0% interest to the directors, a loan of up to 2 lakh rupees to the tutors, and many other schemes.
For years Coaching is said to be an unorganized industry. Our first motive is to organize the coaching sector. We believe in Care, Share & Inspire
Our first mission is to bring together & unite the educators from every corner of the state, to guide them and make them aware of modern educational tools and aids, to make them full-proof for NEW EDUCATION POLICY & provide them health insurance, term insurance& financial support.
Reopening the classes and bring glory to the coaching industry is our first objective. We’re confident that we’ll bounce back.
